Information:

This script creates a little bit more control
over engines in regards to turning them on and
off etc.

Features:

While In A Vehicle:

Pressing F quickly will make the player turn
off the engine and get out.

Holding F for a moment will make the player
get out of the vehicle with the engine running.

If the engine is already turned off, then the
player will exit with the engine off no matter
how you press F.

Pressing Ctrl+G will toggle the vehicles engine
on and off.

You can also turn the vehicles engine on by
pressing the W or S keys.

If you have changed the in vehicle 'duck' key from
the default 'X'. Change the key in the Config Secion.

While Getting Into A Vehicle:

Vehicles will no longer start automatically
when the player gets in them. If the engine
isn't already running, you need to start it.

You can change the keys in the 'Configuration'
section located below the comment section of the
EngineControl.lua file.

Installation:

Place the EngineControl.lua file inside the
\scripts\addins\ directory in your base GTAV
install location.

Place the EngineControl_Lib.lua file inside
the \scripts\libs\ directory in your base GTAV
install location.

Known Issues:

There are various little 'glitches' that will
occasionally (or often) happen. Using the 'wait'
native in some places did fix a few of the bugs
but since that pauses all scripts and not just
the current one, I wont use that in a release.

The following are some of the main issues that
I have noticed:

When exiting a vehicle and leaving the engine
running, the lights will flash off then back
on. A few attempts at fixing that worked but
they also broke other parts of the script. So
maybe in the future I'll manage to fix that.

Sometimes when getting into a vehicle, the
player will get back out right after sitting.

Animations are sometimes wierd. I added an
animation for turning the key but it might
look wierd in certain vehicles. It sometimes
glitches a little bit, especially when holding
the exit key down.

Ducking while in a vehicle that has it's engine
turned off was glitchy and in order to fix that
I had to manually do the animations for it. It
may look wierd with some vehicles but most of
them should be pretty good. I even added ducking
for a few vehicles that you can't normally duck in
even while the engine is on.

When getting into a car with the engine turned
off, the player does the engine start animation
even though the engine does not get started.

I never use bikes so I did not realize what the current animation would look like on them.. Will release a new version that fixes this soon....

The new version is taking longer then originally planned.. I was going to just release a quick fix for bikes but decided it was better to go through each and every vehicle and find which animation (from the handful that Ive found so far) looks the best.... Its turned out to be a lot more work then expected but once my work week is over I should be able to finish it up, hopefully..
